My Thoughts

I went to Gran Nancy’s bedpod. It was time to keep going with the history. I was so happy to see Gran feeling better: redder cheeks, sparkly eyes, teasing me a little. But there was something else, something different. I think Gran realizes that time might be running out. Like the seconds have become more precious, urgent.

We spoke for a few minutes, then it became clear that Gran Nancy needed a rest. Before I left, my gran gave me the invitation to Auncle Quentin’s funeral service. I wasn’t sure what to say or what to do. I hugged Gran. That seemed to make things better. I hope we speak about this some more but don’t want to add pressure. I wish I had met Quentin.

Thinking back on my conversation with my gran, it does sound nice to have a pet in the house. I wonder what it was like to have a purring cat asleep in your bedpod or to throw a stick for a dog? Come here, Fido, here! It must have been fun.

Got a message from Benji. Finally! They weren’t blanking me. They were in custody. Wouldn’t tell me more by One/Net. Wants to meet in person. Will try and get together in the next few days.

We are almost at the time I come into the story. I’m excited to see what happens. I hope that I will remember some of the events. That will make things interesting. I can check Gran Nancy’s memory against mine.
